Yingmei Duan is an experienced performance artist. Her art career starts in Beijing East Village. In 1995, she participated in the iconic performance Add one more meter to the unnamed hill with other artists such as Zuoxiao Zuzhou(左小詛咒),Zhang Huan(張洹),Ma Liuming(馬六明) and Cang Xin(蒼鑫)……The turning point in her artistic creation was in 2000, when she studied performance art under the guidance of her tutor Marina Abramovich at the Braunschweig University of Art in Germany.
